SOLAR COLD STORAGE ROOM
A solar cold storage room is a facility used to store perishable goods or items requiring a controlled temperature environment, such as food, pharmaceuticals, or certain chemicals. Unlike traditional cold storage rooms powered by electricity, solar cold storage rooms utilize solar energy to maintain the desired temperature. They typically employ solar panels to generate electricity, which powers refrigeration units or cooling systems to regulate the temperature inside the storage room. This sustainable approach reduces reliance on conventional energy sources and can be particularly beneficial in remote areas or regions with unreliable electricity grids.
The working principle involves the following steps:
Solar energy powers the SelfChill Cooling Units, which generate cold.
The cold energy is stored in a water chiller using thermal storage based on ice.
An ultra-low power consumption pump transfers the cold energy to the storage room.
A heat exchanger and control system ensure reliable cold transfer and air distribution within the storage room.
Different products can be cooled down independently using only solar energy, without relying on any infrastructure.
